Faction Themed Valor Plate Heirloom Sets for Level 19

Zazzy on Zazzy's Mogs had a dilemma:  Heirloom plate gear, which becomes mail armor when at lower levels is practically immune to the transmogrification feature before level 40.  She isn't alone, as there are a number of players who want to look good while leveling or creating a low level twink.  In honor of her Sad Panda, I have endeavored to create a set that fits her Alliance theme, and coincidentally give my little Horde paladin something good to wear as I work my way towards the Dark Portal.

I designed these sets to fit a level 19 twink.  There were many more options with each level you add, however I wanted to draw a line somewhere that gives a player a chance to wear the set with pride for a little longer.  I hope you enjoy these sets as much as I enjoyed created them! :p

The Alliance set features a shield available to both factions, but fits the Alliance theme quite nicely.  An Undead character could take advantage of the role-playing aspect, even at low levels, as perhaps a former human soldier.  The sword is from an Alliance only quest, and thought it would be nice to put something that is truly Alliance only into the set. :p

For the Alliance:

Helm: Polished Helm of Valor, heirloom helmet from guild vendors.
Shoulders: Polished Spaulders of Valor, heirloom chest from Justice Point Heirloom vendor.
Chest: Polished Breastplate of Valor, heirloom chest from Justice Point Heirloom vendor.
Waist: Imbued Infantry Belt, BOE world drop, check auction house regularly.
Legs: Polished Legplates of Valor, heirloom leggings from guild vendors.
Feet: Imbued Infantry Boots, BOE world drop, check auction house regularly.
Gloves: Imbued Infantry Gauntlets, BOE world drop, check auction house regularly.
Wrists: Burnished Bracers, BOE world drop, check auction house regularly.
Cloak: Feyscale Cloak, from the Deviate Faerie Dragon, rare mob inside Wailing Caverns.
Main hand: Legacy of Teronis, Alliance quest reward from True Power of the Rod, in Ashenvale.
Off hand: Commander's Crest, from Commander Springvale, boss inside Shadowfang Keep (Normal).

The Horde set features a darker look, which incorporates some of the darker earthy tones of the Valor plate rib area and around the thighs.  And since I plan to have this set on my Blood Elf Paladin, perhaps a racially themed shield would be fitting.  The weapon was an interesting Horde-only one handed axe, which just felt unique and oddly appropriate.  I am a huge fan of faction themed sets, and this is no exception. :p

For the Horde:

Helm: Polished Helm of Valor, heirloom helmet from guild vendors.
Shoulders: Polished Spaulders of Valor, heirloom chest from Justice Point Heirloom vendor.
Chest: Polished Breastplate of Valor, heirloom chest from Justice Point Heirloom vendor.
Waist: Burnished Girdle, BOE world drop, check auction house regularly.
Legs: Polished Legplates of Valor, heirloom leggings from guild vendors.
Feet: Burnished Boots, BOE world drop, check auction house regularly.
Gloves: Burnished Gloves, BOE world drop, check auction house regularly.
Wrists: Burnished Bracers, BOE world drop, check auction house regularly.
Cloak: Sentry Cloak, BOE world drop, check auction house regularly.
Main hand: Edge of Unlifted Burdens, Horde quest reward from Practical Vengeance, in Hillsbrad Foothills, .
Off hand: Reforged Quel'dorei Crest, Horde quest reward from Dar'Khan's Lieutenants, in Ghostlands.

    Diligent Design

MogIt, designed by  Aelobin and Lombra , is the quintessential utility for item previewing and set design.  I use it.  I use it, a lot.  And when I am done using it, I use it some more.  Sliced bread doesn't even compare to it, unless I feel like designing sets in peanut butter and jelly!  No, not even then.  I'll eat the bloody sandwich while using MogIt, instead.  You can search virtually every item that can be used in transmogrification, and you can even ask it to show you things that cannot be used.  This section is for ideas that either my friends or I have come up with, but not necessarily have the time to go and collect every piece.  I don't mog as often as I talk about it, so this will allow those sets to avoid the dust bin, altogether!  A little polish, a lot of flourish, and a smidgen of creativity. Viola!  Sets!  Paste the "(Items Used)" links into the MogIt preview pane to begin! :p
