As Aellin approaches the end of her adventures in Pandaria, her choice in cloaks just narrowed up. The problem with legendary items is that you can't transmog into them, or out of them...
She has been battling Garrosh's forces with all that she acquired from the Throne of Thunder, and her particularly treasured item is the shield which Lei Shen held close to him until he fading breath. Coupled with the tanking mace from Immerseus, the set just came together naturally.
Perhaps she won't be showing her legendary tanking cloak, afterall. :p
The Vanquished Storm:

Aellin is kicking off Alt Appreciation Week: Death Knights (#DeathKnightWeek) with her own rendition of the current Death Knight tier. This set contains only the shoulders from the ToT Death Knight Tier, which was the only piece she had on hand. It isn't the first time some of the pieces have come together, since she had a Silithid theme set just a short while ago.
Thematically, the set feels like it could have come from Ahn'Qiraj or Ulduar, as both places were heavily geared towards the Old Gods in looks and feel. You even get to smack them around a bit. Funny thing about immortals: You can beat them into a fine pulp, set the pulp on fire, put the ashes into an impenetrable cask, then bury it deep in the ground. Then, they come back later, really quite angry about the whole ordeal.
Even though this is a remix, she has darker colors replacing the lighter golds and greens of her previous rendition. Aellin has been in light and breezy plate since the moment she hit level 40. This set is no exception. I'm glad I saved the Lofty Breastplate for a rainy day.
Today's Forecast: Breezy, with a chance of evisceration. :p
Aellin, the Devourer:
Helm: Ironbark Faceguard
Shoulders: Metabolically Boosted Shoulderplates
Chest: Lofty Breastplate
Waist: Pounded Pewter Links
Legs: Lofty Legguards
Feet: Boots of the Rescuer
Gloves: Adamant Handguards
Cloak: Might of the Ocean Serpent
Main hand: Kalimdor's Revenge
This post is dedicated to my friend and transmogrification sister-in-arms: Kimstar the Undaunted!
Finally the long journey towards perfection is complete. She is truly undaunted: Server crashes, 3/5th of her group disconnected, and scheduling conflicts. Everything in the universe was telling her and her team to give up. Did they?
Hell, bleeping, NO. :p
I'm going to miss my friend while she is off in the real world, or as we say "RL" for Real Life. Things come up, vacations are had, and breaks from the battlefield need to be taken. I asked her to tell me what it is like out there. I hear that the Sun is not only bright, but heats things, too.
This is our own tiny fashion show, and we both took so many screenshots that we couldn't possibly fit them all here. There is much to love about both of our sets. She doesn't need to earn a spot in the Mog Parade. She was born ready.
We tarried in Dalaran for quite a while, talking about our other sets, showing them off, and we even got to change up the design on her hunter's set. She decided, quite wisely, that her characters would look their best whilst they awaited her return. I even gave her a sneak peek at Amerisia's new set. I couldn't resist showing her what I had created, even though it wasn't quite finished. She said that it is much better to check out these sets in person. I agree. :p
I am trying not to get choked up, but remembering back to when we met early in Pandaria I can't help it. Honeypants had said her friend was looking for some Saltstone Gauntlets. Kimstar was in the middle of finishing her pure Saltstone, or Saltstone, set when I came to deliver the gloves. We immediately started into talking about our sets, showing off what we had, and I even offered to trade the gauntlets for screenshots.
That was when the magic moment happened. She was showing off her Cataclysmic Gladiator's Ornamented set, and it clicked. Why not make THAT into a Saltstone set. With her Cataclysm Drawn in Salt, it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Oddly enough, I don't think those gloves were ever used. They were our Maltese Falcon, a MacGuffin, only really there for us to meet and become friends.
That is really what this post is about, being happy for my friend's achievement and wishing her the best in all of her endeavors. She is a terrific healer, a true friend, and most importantly an amazing person all around. Hope to see you again, soon. Enjoy your vacation, Kim, and I'll see you when you come back to Azeroth. <3

Mog All the Things!
This is a home for all those characters I have stacking up. This is a cleaner and quicker alternative to having a page for every character who rarely see updated sets. Enjoy! :p
