Time to make good on my word and get you a set a day until I'm caught up! In this case, I managed to get two things posted, so it's like some kind of freakish record from the last couple weeks of nearly comatose site updates. I hope you all enjoy tonight's offerings, and I will keep them coming until either they are done, or until my arms fall off. Whichever comes first. :p
The days of adventure and transmogrification acquirement just keep on rolling! :p
I'm pleased to report that Arithan's arena career is back in motion, particularly in thanks to Phizixx @ Tichondrius and Naessa @ Earthen Ring! Thanks to both of you for fighting the good fight in there. It's great to be in there, and particularly fun to be both Arms and Protection. I really like the different feel of combat, that, and the trolling we do as Blood death knight and Protection warrior. :p
Submissions have been slow coming, but I was able to catch up with Phizixx in her new Ghostwalker set, which keeps #RogueWeek going. She is really happy with the new set, and I'm glad that I could help with it. She's been quite busy with RBGs this week, but hopefully we'll get back into the arena when things quiet down a bit.
Naessa and I have had quite the adventures the last few days! Not only have I pulled her back into the arena several times, but we've hit up Raid Finder for several of the Siege bosses, and even managed to get the Terrace of Endless Spring to come up. And with the Terrace run, she got her death knight tier belt, which matched perfectly to the set she is creating. I'd love to share it, if it weren't continually changing. A perfectionist's work is never done. :p
As for my adventures, I had bounced around quite a bit last night. My sister and I did a couple Wrath of the Lich King instances on her death knight and my 5th warrior, Saellinia, who is now making her way towards level 80. I plan to leave her there, but we'll see about that.
Arithan was busily fighting off his own guildmate, Stratous, who had taken on the mark of Ordos and was killing everything in sight. Arithan had already been vanquished by members of Invictus, so he was not about to let a guild mate do the same to him. And since Naessa and him were about to do arena, he was ready to defend himself. Stratous then told my guild master that, "Some warrior was ganking me all evening." That made me smile. :p
Aellin hit up a couple bosses in Siege of Orgrimmar with Deadrum and friends again last night, which is always a pleasure. We one shot the two bosses that had given us trouble the previous week. I totally forgot to get my coins first, though. Whoops. :p
Amerisia has had a little time off recently. She always comes back with a vengeance, so I'm not too worried. I have all the motivation to play her, especially with that fun death knight tier 16 armor staring at her from the adventure journal... Mmm, gotta collect them all.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic week. I'll see you all when next inspiration strikes. Probably sooner, than later. Until then: MOG ALL THE THINGS! :p
Welcome to another Mogging Mondays and the beginning of Alt Appreciation: Mage Week (#MageWeek), so start those polymorph chains and blink towards those Ethereals to show off your sets!
This monday is going to be spent cleaning out mailboxes and waiting until the dust settles for the 5.4 patch. I have mixed feeling about where things went in 5.2 and 5.3, but overall I think it was a good set of content. Definitely good for transmogrification and story development, but a mixed bag for PvP with World PvP shifting to raiding player dominance. It was a good shift for battlegrounds and arena, but raiding gear and player built-in resilience made PvP geared players somewhat squishy, especially for Heroic geared PvE raiders. I'm sure I could go on, but I've got mogging to do.
Speaking of cleaning out mailboxes, I was on Mal'Ganis and met Hensong. She, or he, was quite nice despite me not accepting their offer to trade pets for a Robes of Insight. So, as they say, "A kind word goes a long way." I decided that for their politeness, they were earned for the low, low price of free. I asked for a set submission when it's all done, so technically not entirely free. She wasted no time in getting a set to us! Thanks again for being polite and courteous. :p
Onward to the Storm's End
In her quest to finish Throne of Thunder Heroic before patch, Amerisia got the lion's share of bounty from within. Along with the new title Storm's End, she received gobs of weapons and a few armor pieces. Per usual, the upgrades aren't that important. It's the models that count. Now, lets tally up what dropped:
Refreshing Abalone Girdle, Iceshatter Gauntlets - Yes, oh yes, OH YES! The gloves, they are mine, all MINE I SAY! That is two down and six to go for that amazing paladin tier look. Amerisia is totally going to be sporting some variation of these pieces for a new set. I'm thinking Vanguard or maybe the set I designed last week for the belt. Decisions, decisions... :p
See you all next patch! Hugs, happiness, and you know what you must do...
First, lets give a round of applause to all you Hunters out there enjoying Alt Appreciation: Hunter Week (#hunterweek)! I've seen a lot of your sets on twitter and they are simply gorgeous. And a exceptionally warm hug goes to World of Lae for the amazing concept!
A new set comes to us from Taiyo @ Hellfire EU, which is her second appearance here at Mog's Addiction. Her first was here. Taiyo, who is Zhau incognito, is sporting some lower level items which come together as a great set. Check her out over on Fun with Mail.
While you are over there, you can also see all the other Hunters who have made submissions, or were stalked by yours truly, to show of the amazing work that everyone can do with a few chain links. I even was reminded that I had created a set of my very own for the Ornate Mail models. I hope you all enjoyed this week of arrow/bolt/bullet slinging mayhem! :p
And just in case you missed them, here is a roundup of all those epic pet charmers:
Death Knight Week on World of Lae
Welcome everyone to Mogging Mondays! Death Knight week (#DeathKnightWeek) ended Saturday. It was a fabulous week of plate goodness, which inspired many players, including myself to put their sets, stories and homages to those cold killing machines.
Fret not, my fellow addicts, there is a new class up for the Alties Award! Sunday kicked off the beginning of Alt Appreciation Week for Druids (#DruidWeek)! Hit up those Bear-cat-trees and show everyone you have what it takes to be every type of role at once. While you're at it, send them over this way for a little transmogrification TLC.
We have two submissions for Druid week already in the queue. First up for today is Zhau's druid Yuukí @ Hellfire EU. Second up is Trixxi, who is rocking her druid Trixxifbaby @ Zul'jin. You can't deny them their enthusiasm! You also can't deny that Zhau and Trixxi are an altoholics, whatever altohol is... Sounds tasty though.
Despite druid week having already begun, the overflow of undeath continues with Hâtter's dark themed set, which is now up on MogIt Corner. She seriously got me good with her tiny Hâtters which she stashed inside my hat. My Horde hat, no less. Then, she totally evened up the score by loading her truck's visor with chits and informing me I had something stuck in my teeth... Even after they rained down on me, I still checked my teeth. Thanks for that, Quid. Thanks. :p
MOG ALL THE THINGS! :p
Umlaut Paradots has been running around Ner'zhul since he stood in the freezing cold at Fry's Electronics back at the initial release. He enjoys being the defender, especially of those just starting out in WoW. :p
